7 Science did a wonderful job using their knowledge of DNA and RNA to complete a scavenger hunt around the classroom last week. We will be starting to look at the human body this coming week - focusing on how the different parts interact - and specifically studying the musculo-skeletal system.
8 Science has begun looking at the Earth's water and atmosphere. We are learning the basic concepts about water and the water cycle and it's many uses. Notes and Reviews have been posted in Showbie for this unit and a quiz will be held on the 26 of February.
7 Social Studies did an excellent job with the reading of The Odyssey and we are going on to look more into the warfare and military mindset of this civilization. We will be having a quiz on the upcoming chapter that focuses on these topics, but a date has not yet been set.
8 Social Studies is wrapping up their study of President Jefferson and will have a quiz Thursday, February 21st. A study guide will be provided in Showbie to help them prepare - they have been very attentive and intuitive with our ongoing exploration to the western frontier.
