Every date has something significant, but every date YOU have a chance to create something significant. Whether it be discovering a career you want as part of your future, helping someone out, or offering up a kind word - You and I are capable of changes in the world around us everyday, and no one can keep you from improving the world around you. If an opportunity presents itself, take it - or better yet, make your own. Make Every Day count as a part of YOUR History!
The Little Rock 9 helped put an end to segregation in public schools, the foundation for the Bill of Rights is sent to Congress, and Ethan Allen was captured by the British.... in Science - Fiction -> Mark Hamill of Star Wars was born in 1951, Vasco Nunez de Balboa sights the Pacific Ocean, and the US Mars Observer was launched in space - pretty busy for late September! With so much going on, be sure to still put time away for friends, family, rest, and maybe just a little time to think....

I got a nice thank you note from The Sandy Hook Elementary School PTA earlier. Last year we sent snowflakes to show support for the community that were hung up in their new school. A blizzard of love that came together for the kids. Thought I would share it with everyone. Hi All!
This wednesday (September18th) we will be having a parents informational meeting in the library at 5:45 until 6:45 or so. We will be answering any questions you have about the upcoming school year and ideas about classes, technology, athletics, and any other topics that come along. Please bring questions - we will have answers! hope to see you all their! Keeping up to date with current events - parents, be sure to talk to your kids about what is going on in the world around them. Their eyes and ears are exposed to soooo much in this world, and interpreting all of it can be tough. We discuss things at school, but parents talking with their children is even more important! Thanks! We had a great first week back to school! 7 & 8 Grade Sciences built towers with limited supplies, and then had to dismantle and re-use the exact same materials to construct a load bearing bridge! AWESOME!
A debate on topics of science vs. psuedoscience also took shape in 7th grade, while 8th grade prepared iPads for new textbooks. In Social Studies, all 3 groups went over current events and discussed CNN in the classroom. A real whirlwind of a week for all of us! Great Job, Bulldogs! |
