Grade Six Science - Finishing up our planet presentations, and getting ready to get a little loony with studying the moon and its phases. We will be looking at the impact of the moons gravity on the earths tides, as well as our place in space and our seasons.
Grade Seven Social Studies - Groups are presenting ideas and inventions of Ancient China, and then we will look into society and changes as different peoples interacted with those of China. After China, we will delve into the country of Japan before looking into the ancient civilizations of the Americas.
Grade Seven Science - We are studying the human skeleton and how it aids us in our lives. Along with the bones, we are also studying tendons, ligaments and muscles!!! We will be getting a "move on" with our studies and will be having a quiz next Thursday.
Grade Eight Social Studies - Nice jobs on Civil War battle projects - a wide variety of interest and some great presentations! We also did a Socratic Circle looking at how our experience as a troop member would have been. We will be looking at the battles of Gettysburg and also the prisoner camps of the time.

Friendly Reminder - Track and Field Begins Monday April 18, and will be held until 5pm on April 18,19, 21, 25, 26, and May 2,3, and 5. Parents - please be here at 5 to pick up your athletes. They were given information about the meet on Saturday May 7 as well.
Eighth Grade Video - Parents, please find 12 - 15 pictures of your eighth grader as they grew up over the years for the video. All pictures will be returned to you. IF possible, please scan them and send via email or flashdrive with your student. Printed pictures are welcome.
