7 Science - No bones about it - we are checking out the Skeletal and Muscular systems right now, looking at the importance of exercise, nutrition, and what can happen (and sometimes does) when we don't take care of this support system. We are also checking out the different kinds of muscles that make up our body and what we can do to help prevent injury.
8 Science is working on dimensioning changes to pre-existing products to make them more user friendly to children with Cerebral Palsy. After we complete this mini-challenge, we will begin constructing our own cube puzzles to get a better idea of design testing and analysis. Should be pretty cool!
7 Social Studies - Toga Tuesday turned out cool - The students could make their own Gladiator Helmets, Gladiator warriors complete with wardrobe and weaponry, play ancient Roman games of skill, and try to decode and create messages the way that the Roman generals did at the battlefront. We will next be looking at the changes that went on in the empire with the Romans and the introduction of the Christian faith.
8 Social Studies - They are tearing through Andrew Jackson! We have looked at Jacksonian Democracy and what a real Inauguration Party looked like in 1848! Next up will be Jackson's involvement with the National Bank as well as the forced Relocation of many Nations along the Trail of Tears. We WILL have a test next week Friday on this Chapter.
VOLLEYBALL - We swept Drought on Tuesday - but they are visiting us on our home turf on Monday! Please come support our Volleyball Teams as they take on Drought on Monday March 13 at 5:20! Go Bulldogs! Woof!
