7 Science - our class has begun the study of the environment and the biotic and abiotic parts within! So far we have looked at types of producers and consumers, levels of organization and food chains and webs! Look out energy flow, here we come! There will be a short Vocab quiz on Lessons 1 & 2 next week.
8 Science has just finished up studying the different levels and components of the Earth. We are looking at different types of waves - mechanical and electromagnetic! We are starting off with a few short lessons, but will be having a quiz net week on basic concepts. I have shared the review in Showbie with them, and they should be studying to prepare for their quiz on Wednesday.
7 Social Studies has dug deeper into ancient civilizations - this time in India. We have looked at the climate and geography of the land, and are now setting our sights on the culture and faith of it's people. We will be having a test on India before Winter break, but not this week or the following. Please have them watch in showbie for a review that will be posted.
8 Social Studies is diving into the Revolutionary War - ask them about Paul Revere's Midnight ride! We are learning about the many battles and allies that helped create our Nation, and are pouring over the Declaration of Independence in class today! There will be a study guide coming out next week for an upcoming quiz.
