7 Science will be starting to study the human body and its systems. We will be looking at how the different systems work together to keep us up and running. From the muscular system to the nervous, the respiratory to the skeletal - we will cover it all! There will be a few projects and a few quizzes - I will keep all of you in the loop in terms of due dates and reviews!
8 Science just finished studying the inner and outer workings of the earth's geologic land forms and processes. Next up - water and atmosphere. We will look at the oceans, lakes and seas as well as the currents in the sea and the air above. I think it will be a nice change for the group, and maybe we will be able to figure out our wacky Wisconsin weather along the way, too!
7 Social Studies has been doing a nice job with their study of the ancient Greeks. We are going to start looking at the warfare that helped establish a foothold for the civilization, look at the Trojan War and the great heroes of their time, and study their military. The students are enjoying their reading of the play based on The Odyssey.
8 Social Studies is finishing their study of Lewis and Clark and will then be moving on to the great War of 1812. We will study the battles and leaders of the countries involved, and look at the impact that Jefferson had on United States during his Presidency.
Reminder: Volleyball Practice will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. Please have forms turned in to Mr. Koeller on Monday - students can not participate unless all forms are filled out and athletic fees are paid.
