6 Science will be wrapping up their study of light within the week. We will check out the human eye a little more in depth (they requested a cow eye to dissect next year!) and also have a fun exploration day looking at light technology.
7 Science is beginning their study of the human digestive and excretory system. From the in and outs, to the health risks and common illnesses that can be found in this system, we will be checking out the length of our digestive tract and what goes on inside (and comes out) of it. There will not be a quiz to accompany this lesson.
8 Science is wrapping up their study under the sea. We have looked at the currents and tides of the ocean and attempted to do a little bit of upcycling with some homemade jellyfish in a bottle (it was interesting). From here we will be checking out weather - in Wisconsin and abroad - to determine what challenges the future climate may hold and check out different storm systems just in time for spring tornadoes.
7 Social Studies has been working its way through the Romans and Christianity - we are about to learn more about the foundation of this faith and practices of it's followers in the week ahead. We will also look into the impact that this religion has had on the world around us.
8 Social Studies has a quiz on Andrew Jackson on Tuesday, March 19th. They have a study guide in Showbie and a printed one, along with notes fresh from the printer. They have been doing an excellent job amidst all the confusion with technology, and seem to have a strong grasp of the major events and topics that circulated around his presidency.
