7 Science is almost ready to move on to DNA and Heredity - should be pretty neat. We need to finish up our study on interactions of cells with the environment. There will be a quiz on Friday December 14th, a review is posted in Showbie to help them study. Please make sure they are using it!
8 Science is beginning the study of the rock cycle and different types of rocks. We will be looking at characteristics first, then the rock cycle, and have some fun labs thrown in as well. Should be a "rock"ing good time... I hope they won't take it for "granite".
7 Social Studies is studying Ancient China and each student has chosen an invention that they would like to learn more about. With the information that we are gathering we are going to construct mobiles on their creation of choice. as of right now, they should have chosen their invention, gathered 10 facts, and be ready to start creating midweek!
8 Social Studies is beginning to learn about the three branches of government and the systems of checks and balances that is put into place to keep any one branch from gaining too much control over the others. We will be diving deep into the preamble, Bill of Rights, and the Amendments that accompany it in the days ahead.
