6 Science is looking at different the number side of design and manufacturing - predictions and market focus - please help them out by testing their 3D cube puzzles and letting them time you to gather data! Then we will be in the lab to further create imagery, and then it will be off to the final PLTW Project!
7 Science is looking at invasive species, how they spread and the problems that they can create for established, native populations. We watched the ever popular Cane Toad Documentary, and will be checking out other ways that human beings impact their environment.
8 Science has been looking into LIGHT!!! We have begun by analyzing the EM Spectrum, discussing the impact that high levels of UV light can have on us, and looking at the primary colors of light - can you guess what they are?
7 Social Studies spent some time in the lab working on their Ancient Chinese Invention mini- presentations - most are using either google docs, slides, prezi or powerpoint. It is a chance for them to understand the history behind some of today's modern technology. These are due on the 16th of January. We will also check out the Great Wall of China, the Terra Cotta Warriors, and other achievements before moving on to ancient Japan!
8 Social Studies has been put to the test reviewing their knowledge of Citizenship - we took the actual test that is used to determine American Citizenship in class, and will be going over and reviewing the key components of American Government and Documents. We will also be checking out some of the laws that have been passed that may cause others to scratch their heads!
